TaylorMade TP5 is not only softer than previous generations, it also delivers improved spin around the green and less spin with the driver. The new Speed Wrapped Core technology also gives a softer feel to the game and makes the ball faster and more responsive for increased distance. The progressive five-piece construction optimises the speed difference between the bearings, resulting in less spin with the driver and long irons, while also producing more spin with wedges for precision play around the green. Designed to match the ball’s finish, the urethane cover not only gives an aesthetically pleasing look, but also makes the ball feel like new for longer. With TP5 you get a ball that not only performs at the highest level, but also stays in top condition for longer. Compared to previous generations, the new Pix pattern has a longer centreline and additional colour contrast, offering easier alignment and more accurate feedback on the green. If you compare TP5 and TP5X, the X model gives higher launch and increased distance with a fixed feel of impact, while the regular model has its advantages in additional spin at the short game and a slightly softer feel of impact.
White - Yellow - Pix, TaylorMade TP5 and TP5X are manufactured in three different colour options. The white classic ball, a yellow version with reinforced urethane cover which means that the golf ball becomes lighter and therefore easier to recognise, as well as a white ball with Pix pattern. The Pix pattern has ClearPath Alignment which gives you direct feedback on how the ball moves, something that is extra useful when putting.
